Sustainablity!

Our team is committed to delivering a sustainable event.

Ensuring we protect the environment where possible, supporting our charity partners, and making the event inclusive are all very important to us and delivering our commitment.

OUR ENVIRONMENT

Stroll in the City is working with many partners to ensure that we protect the environment where we can. We are committed to this through the following:

  1. All event packaging is recycled via our local recycling partner, Capital Recycle.

  2. The Stroll in the City medals are now made of wood and sourced from a UK supplier.

  3. Our event guide is only available in digital format for you to download and share.

  4. Participant numbers, cups, flyers, and packaging are produced from recycled materials and sourced in the UK.

OUR COMMUNITY…

Stroll in the City is working in our community to promote our charitable impact, but also to help them raise vital funds so they can keep making an impact. Each year, we are committed to:

  1. Choosing a lead charity partner.

  2. Promote any charity that is participating in the event on our charity page.

  3. Free places for all under-18-year-olds and making sure that we engage partners along the route.

OUR DIVERSITY…

Stroll in the City is working to be a more inclusive event every year.

We understand that if we can remove more of the barriers to entry, we can only become a more diverse and inclusive event. We are committed to:

  1. Ensuring the route is always a step-free, accessible event

  2. This event is a non-timed event suitable for runners and walkers of all abilities

  3. Having a BSL representative present at the event.

  4. All under-18’s run for free, but please remember they must be registered using the Child Registration Form and accompanied by an adult at all times.
